2. Energy bar vs. candy bar in disguise?
Doesn't it seem like most energy bars sold in stores are simply candy bars in disguise? If you compare the ingredients and content of sugar,
fat (especially saturated fat - the bad kind), sodium, and fiber, you'll soon find that you're better off with a candy bar than most
"healthy" energy bars.
The miracles of modern marketing would lead us to believe that more ingredients equals more nutrition, that more processing equals more
health. Of course, the opposite is true. The fewer ingredients in a product, the better. The less processed a food is, the more easily it

believing that synthetic foods are panaceas. In my belief, this is irresponsible marketing and it's lead to not only our obesity pandemic
in the United States, but has contributed to consumer confusion in terms of to managing food sensitivites and intolerances such as Celiac
Disease.
