Our Mission Statement
With an advisory board comprised of physicians, therapists nutritionists and compound pharmacist, Parents of Allergic Children is prepared to offer information on any aspect of allergy related topics. By providing parents with detailed instructions on how to implement an elimination diet, shop for various food substitutes in health food stores and prepare the foods in specialized cooking classes, the organization guides parents through the process of improving their child's health through diet and nutrition. Parents are also provided with mail order sources for special dietary needs, access to a lending library, resource material and enormous amounts of emotional support to help them meet the challenges of raising an allergic child.
Note: The opinions of individual group members do not constitute medical advice,
nor should they be construed as representing the organization as a whole. Since each
child's allergic experience is truly unique, parents must rely upon their own personal
medical and nutritional advisors, in evaluating the information shared by any support
group member. Parents are cautioned to consult qualified medical professionals before
embarking upon any dietary or nutritional program. Parents of Allergic Children does
not endorse any particular dietary or nutritional method, nor any particular medical or
nutritional practitioner.
